hi cat
whist many of these are good ideas, especially the one on the mercy ships, i still feel that you should be trying to find a project that combines your existing interest/profile in sports with something more reportage
the dog track is a good idea, although well photographed, but if it is being closed down could be a classic ‘end of and era’ story
worth checking it out especially if you can think of a different angle on the story – portraits of the trainers, patrons, bookies etc perhaps??
the ambulance story is a solid if not particularly original idea too, again i think you need an angle to make it work
hope this helps, even if it is relatively negative….
My friend worked on a documentary about the mercy ships in Liberia, I know the camerawoman very well, and the producer well too, I’ll put you in touch, they’ve got all the contacts i’m sure.
